Field Hockey week of August 24

Hi All,

Thanks to all who were able to make the Parent meeting on Thursday night.  It was great to see all of the new faces!

Please check out our field hockey website at  http://powayfieldhockey.com/.  A BIG THANKS to Bree Blila for all her work on the new website!  The tentative game schedule can be found on the Calendar tab.  Please bookmark this website as it will be an informative resource for you during the season.
Below are the field hockey events for this week:
Monday, August 24: 6:30 - 8:30pm   practice on the turf (stadium)
Tuesday, August 25: 5:00pm  UNIFORMS distributed and team photos taken on the turf
6:00 - 8:00pm   practice on the turf
Wednesday, August 26: 6:00 - 8:00pm    practice on the turf

Thursday, August 27: (UPDATED 8-27-2015) 5:30 - 7:30 practice on the Grass

Friday, August 28: Scrimmage vs Del Norte on the turf
Varsity @ 3:30pm  / JV @ 4:45pm
Saturday, August 29: JV Tournament at Otay Ranch - game schedule and sign up sheet to be sent separately
Transportation is on your own
Please keep working on your fundraising project - you will receive a 50% refund for all donations you bring in!  Extra forms are on the website under the Handouts button.

Field Hockey week of August 17

We were very pleased with the girls' hard work this past week and we look forward to watching them continue that effort and grow this season.  The next few weeks will be extremely hot so please make sure the players are hydrating at home and not relying on water breaks at practice.  We are committed to having fit players who are able to compete for the entire 50 minute game. We will go over our goals for the season in detail at the parent meeting.  Congratulations again to each of the players and we look forward to meeting you Thursday evening.  ~Coach Morgan & Coach Britt

Monday, August 17: 3:30 - 5:30pm  practice on the grass*
**Spirit wear orders due today**
 
Tuesday, August 18: 3:30 - 5:30pm  practice on the grass
 
Wednesday, August 19: First Day of School
3:30 - 5:30pm  practice on the grass
 
Thursday, August 20: 3:30 - 5:30pm  practice on the grass
7:00pm Fall Sports Night at PHS for parents (Room number to follow)
**Registration forms are due today** 
 
Friday, August 21: 6:30 - 8:30pm  practice on the turf
 
*Please remember that the practice times stated are when practice begins.  Players are asked to be at the field 30 minutes prior to the stated time for wardrobe adjustments and warm-ups so they are ready to practice on time.  Thanks from the coaches!
 
We hope that you are having success getting sponsors for the Team Fundraiser.  Please let John Richards or me know if you have any questions about the fundraiser.  This is a great way to raise funds for the team, advertise for community businesses AND give you credits against the $375 field hockey registration fee!  All documents for this fundraiser are due by September 2.
